We plan and arrange inbound short-term study abroad programs. In addition, we provide support for recruiting long-term study abroad students.
International business (International student support services)
Background/Purpose
Japan's population of 18-year-olds has been declining year after year, and this number is expected to continue to decline in the future. On the other hand, the number of international students coming to Japan has been increasing since 2022, and it has surged to 280,000 in 2024. In addition, the Japanese government has also set a goal of increasing the number of international students to 400,000 by 2033. Under such circumstances, we are committed to contributing to the globalization for universities in Japan. Also, we think we can provide routes to study in Japan for students from various countries.
What we do
Planning and Arranging of Educational Tours
We offer “short-term educational tour programs for international students”. It enables them to experience Japanese universities for about 1 to 2 weeks. This program is designed for the summer/winter vacation periods, and so on. We offered this program for Chinese high school/university students in July and August. In this program, students took classes at the university in the morning and visited Japanese companies/experienced Japanese culture in the afternoon. The program included an internship of Kawaijuku Group. We gave a lecture to the students on “Job Hunting in Japan." These programs aim to provide international students with an opportunity to learn about Japanese universities.
Internship of Kawaijuku (At Kawaijuku KALS Shinjuku Main School)
Visiting Japanese Companies (Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc.)
Study tours for overseas educators
We provide lectures not only to students but also to overseas educators. In addition, we arrange visits to Japanese educational institutions for them. In August 2024, we held lectures on “Education System in Japan” and “Gakushu-juku (Tutoring schools) in Japan”. Through exchanges of opinions with overseas educators, we are working toward sharing and mutual understanding of the educational situation in each country.
Placement of international students within Kawaijuku Group
We place students who have JLPT N2 or higher to study at “Kawaijuku Art Institute.” Teaching Assistants (TAs) are assigned to international students so that they can catch up with the content of classes offered in Japanese.
Opening of “Japanese Language Course” for international students staying in Japan
For international students enrolled in Kawaijuku Art Institute and students studying Japanese, we offer "Japanese language course" to prepare for entrance examinations at universities. This course offer preparing for "statement of reasons for applying", "interview", and "essay" as subjects for entrance examinations at universities.
Providing support services to local students who want to study abroad in Japan
We provide tutoring and career counseling services to local students. Currently, we are developing study abroad support services at our local subsidiary in Uzbekistan and will gradually expand the target countries.
Through these activities, we will create connections between domestic universities and overseas students/institutions. We aim to create two-way international exchange.
Looking for potential business partners
Starting with China, this project aims to expand the target countries within Asia. In addition, we are also planning to offer educational tours in a wide range of categories, such as programs at art universities. In addition to inbound travel, we are also looking into supporting Japanese students who wish to study abroad (outbound). We will make use of the connections with universities in Japan that we have developed as Kawaijuku Group. Also, we will expand those connections overseas. We will strive to expand the “circle” of education.
